Diving & First Training Standards - ‍Not all Training agencies are the same!  

Our programs are designed to maximise safety while offering a challenging, rewarding and exciting diving experience. ITDA-IHMP meet and exceed all recreational ISO and ANSI/EN standards for the EU (Europe) and Internationally. We also have UK Government HSE approval since 2005.
 

ISO is the International Standards Organisation who offer guidelines on limited diver training & certifications.

Standards for Training Organisations/System EN 14153-1

EN 14153-2 This standard specifies the competencies that a scuba diver has to have achieved in order for a service provider to award the scuba diver certification indicating that they have met or exceeded scuba diver level 2 "Autonomous Diver" and assessment of these competencies. that most customers will look ONLY to the price! (For a difference!)   
 

ANSI is the American National Standards Institute who also offer guidelines on limited diver training.

The International versions of their standards are ISO International Standards Organisation Guidelines.

EN 14153-1 This Standard specifies the competencies that a scuba diver has to have achieved in order for a service provider to award the scuba diver certification indicating that he has met or exceeded scuba diver level 1 "Supervised Diver" and specifies assessment of these competencies.
Competencies of a recreational scuba diver at level 1 "Supervised Diver".
A scuba diver at level 1 "Supervised Diver" shall be trained to have sufficient knowledge, skill and experience to dive in open water under the direct supervision of a dive leader. Scuba divers at level 1 "Supervised Diver" are qualified to dive within the following parameters accompanied by a dive leader:

We are loking to renew membership with  after Covid...  IDSSC offer standards for scuba, technical and professional diving in the USA & Internationally.

International Diving & Safety Standards Council.

Thier Mission is to Advise recreational divers, public safety and professional divers on new techniques and diving regulations.

 

The IDSSC have evaluated the most up-to-date diving standards and regulations created by the best organisations in the world and adopted by different international companies.

Their job is to find solutions to each of the problems associated with diving, depending on the location and type of diving operations.

ITDA-IHMP Additional Guidance for Divers

  • Do Not / Not to exceed certification depth.

  • To dive in environments equal or simular to those used in training.

  • If you want to try new environments than further training & certification is advised.

  • Only Dry Suit Divers may dive in cold water.

  • To plan all dives by dive profile & Cover / have Emergency Plans.

  • Divers to Monitor Their Own Air (SPG).

  • Control of Depth and Buoyancy - Stay with group.

  • Be Aware of the Environment (No touching and avoid any Damage to Coral etc.).

  • Be Responsible and Respectful - Listen to Crew/Staff.

  • Aim to serve as a good example to novice divers & non-divers.

  • Always be prepared for an emergency and perform "Risk Assessments".
